Site Preparation

Rotary hoe or cover area with Lush Lawn Underlay which can be purchased from Lee Rowans Gardenworld.

NOTE: If clay base, add Gypsum prior to Underlay. Sir Walter Lime and Gypsum is available in a 10kg bucket for $24.00 from online lawn care store, delivered direct to your door. Drainage system installation is essential in wet areas.

Rake smooth underlay approx. 20mls below paths etc.

Test the soil pH to determine if any pH correction materials are required. Manutec Soil pH Test Kit is available for $17.10 (up to 50 tests) from online lawn care store, delivered direct to your door. Acidic (pH 6.0 and below) can be improved with the addition of lime. Alkaline soils (pH 7.5 and higher) can be improved with the addition of gypsum or sulfur.

Apply our Starter Fertiliser (Sir Walter Fertiliser, $35 per 10kg bucket) or  Sir Launcher (3kg / 100m2, $33.00) prior to laying turf, a must for successful establishment. These products are available online from online lawn care store and are couriered direct to your door.

Is your soil & drainage structure adequate?
What turf adjoins or surrounds your property?
Measuring and Ordering Turf

Using a tape, measure the area (length x width), unusual shapes take an average.
This will give you the exact number of square metres you require.
Take delivery as close to the day you plan to start laying the turf
Order our specially formulated 10kg bucket of Sir Walter Fertiliser, or Sir Turf Launcher.
